An introduction to the art of the ancient practice of Yoga
We will prepare both mind & the body with the simple practices, and philosophies which have been passed down from guru to student to both cultivate and develop a strong understanding of the basic Asanas, that will form part of your yoga practice.
This workshop will include :
Pranayama : breath work that silences the mind and prepares the body for Asana practice.
Sun Salutations : To stretch and energize the body, moving with breath to prepare for asana practice.
Asana Practice : a flow of the basic asanas or postures to help you understand alignment and the benefits behind each asana.
Closing guided Meditation & Savasana : An introduction to meditation, an opportunity to allow yourself to feel into the benefits of stillness in the mind.
Savasana - a complete relaxation of the body and mind.
